L’Ametlla de Mar – The sea par excellence
The reddish creeks and the fine and soft sand are the
main characteristics of the coast of L’Ametlla de Mar.
A typical fishing village, L’Ametlla de Mar represents
the sea par excellence.
The coast of L'Ametlla de Mar is 14 Km long with its
marvellous cliffs which hide beautiful creeks with
crystal-clear waters, surrounded by rocks, and pine
groves. L'Ametlla de Mar is in a unique location with
the sea on one side and the hills of olive trees on the
other.
The fishing port is distinctive and typical with its
constant coming and going of boats. Two kilometres from
the centre of the village, one can visit the Sant Jordi
d'Alfama castle, a coastal medieval fort which was
restored in the XVII century.
